दुनिया के अधिकतर अमीर लोगों का शौक होता है ‘गोल्फ खेलना’ (Golf game). गोल्फ को ‘अमीरों का खेल’ भी कहा जाता है लेकिन वास्तव में ऐसा नहीं है. इंसान अमीर हो या गरीब अगर उसमें गोल्फ खेलने की कला है तो वो गोल्फ खेल सकता है. गोल्फ खेलना देखने में काफी आसान है लेकिन इसके लिए इस बात की जानकारी होनी चाहिए की गोल्फ कैसे खेलते हैं (How to play golf) और गोल्फ के नियम (Golf rule) क्या हैं?
गोल्फ क्या है? (What is golf game?)
गोल्फ एक खेल है. इस खेल में एक लंबा चौड़ा हरी घास वाला मैदान (Golf Course) होता है. इस मैदान में कुछ दूरी पर एक होल होता है जिसमें एक छड़ी की मदद से एक छोटी सी बॉल को होल में डालना होता है. इसमें छड़ी को क्लब (Golf Club) कहा जाता है. इसी छड़ी की मदद से कम से कम शॉट में आपको बॉल को होल में डालना होता है. जो जितने कम शॉट में बॉल को होल में पहुंचाता है वही विजेता बनता है.
गोल्फ को एक विशिष्ट फील्ड (Golf Course) में खेला जाता है. इसमें 3, 6, 9, 18 होल होते हैं. इसमें एक विशेष जगह से खेल को शुरू किया जाता है. इस जगह पर टी आकार की एक छोटी सी स्टिक जमीन में लगी होती है जिस पर बॉल को रखकर क्लब की मदद से शॉट मारा जाता है. गोल्फ के मैदान में झील, पेड़, ढलान जैसी बाधाएं हो सकती है. इन बाधाओं को हजार्ड कहा जाता है. इन बाधाओं को पार करते हुए क्लब की मदद से शॉट लगाते हुए गोल्फ खिलाड़ी को बॉल को होल में पहुंचाना होता है.
गोल्फ कोर्स या मैदान की जानकारी (Golf Course information)
गोल्फ कोर्स या गोल्फ का मैदान 5 भागों में बटा होता है.
फेयर वे : टी बॉक्स और ग्रीन के बीच में मौजूद कटा या ट्रिम की गई जगह को फेयर वे कहते हैं.
रफ़ : फेयर वे के बार्डर पर मौजूद कम घास वाली जगह को रफ़ कहते हैं.
पुटिंग ग्रीन : पुटिंग ग्रीन या ग्रीन के नजदीक फेयरवे का होल मौजूद होता है.
हजार्ड : इसे ट्रैप कहते हैं, इसे जानबूझकर गोल्फ कोर्स में रखा या बनाया जाता है ताकि गेंद को होल तक पहुंचने में कठिनाई आए.
गोल्फ क्लब की जानकारी (Golf Club information)
गोल्फ में जिस छड़ी को उपयोग करते हैं उसे क्लब कहा जाता है. एक अच्छा गोल्फ प्लेयर हमेशा अपने लिए एक सही और अच्छे क्लब का उपयोग करता है. गोल्फ में आमतौर पर तीन तरह की क्लब का प्रयोग होता है.
वुड क्लब : वुड में चौड़ा हेड होता है. इसे काफी हल्की सामाग्री से बनाया जाता है. इसका प्रयोग गेंद को लंबी दूरी तक पहुंचाने के लिए किया जाता है. इसे ड्राईवर भी कहा जाता है.
आयरन क्लब : आयरन क्लब वुड क्लब से काफी संकरा होता है इसे भारी धातु से बनाया जाता है. इसका उपयोग मध्य या छोटे शॉट के लिए किया जाता है.
पुटर क्लब : ये एक विशेष क्लब होती है. इसे घास पर प्रयोग किया जाता है. इसका प्रयोग्ग सटीक दिशा और गति पर नियंत्रण के लिए किया जाता है. आमतौर पर जो शॉट होल के पास मारने होते हैं उनके लिए पुटर क्लब का उपयोग किया जाता है.
गोल्फ खेलने का तरीका (How to play golf?)
गोल्फ खेलने के कई तरीके प्रचलित हैं लेकिन नियमों को ध्यान में रखते हुए खेल को जीतने के लिए दो तरीकों का सबसे ज्यादा इस्तेमाल किया जाता है.
स्ट्रोक प्ले : छोर के माध्यम से पूरा कोर्स खत्म करने के लिए कम से कम दो शॉट्स का उपयोग करना और गेम को जीतना. मतलब दो शॉट्स में गेम को जीतना.
मैच प्ले : इस प्रकार में प्रत्येक होल को गिना जाता है. जैसा की गोल्फ के मैदान में कई सारे होल होते हैं जिनमें बॉल को पहुंचाना होता है. अब इन सभी छेदों में जो खिलाड़ी कम शॉट्स में छेदों को पहुंचाता है वो जीत जाता है. ये गेम आखिरी होल तक चलता है और तब तक दोनों खिलाड़ियों के स्कोर को देखा जाता है.
गोल्फ में स्कोर के नियम (Golf scoring rule)
गोल्फ में स्कोर छेदों की संख्या और शॉट्स निर्भर करते हैं. 18 छेदों वाले गोल्फ में शुरू के 9 छेदों को फ्रंट लाइन और आखिरी 9 छेदों को बैकलाइन कहा जाता है. इसके लिए 72 शॉट्स तय किए जाते हैं. अब मान लीजिये की इसमें एक होल तक बॉल पहुंचाने के लिए 3 शॉट्स तय किए गए. अब किसी खिलाड़ी ने 2 शॉट में ही बॉल को होल तक पहुंचा दिया तो उसे 1 अंडर पार कहते हैं और किसी ने 4 शॉट्स में पहुंचाया तो उसे 1 ओवर पार कहा जाता है. अगर किसी ने तीन ही शॉट्स में बॉल को पहुंचा दिया तो उसे इवन पार कहते हैं. अब इन दोनों खिलाड़ी में से जो खिलाड़ी सबसे कम शॉट में पूरे 18 होल में गेंद पहुंचाएगा उसे विजेता घोषित किया जाएगा.
