आज फादर्स डे है यानी की पितृ दिवस. मदर्स डे की तरह पूरी दुनिया में फादर्स डे मनाया जाता है. भारतीय समाज में आमतौर पर परिवार में बच्चे के लिए मां ही सबकुछ होती है. हमारे समाज और परिवारों में भी मां की भूमिका पिता से बढ़कर बताई गई है. यकीनन 9 महीने मां के गर्भ में रहने वाला बच्चा और जन्म लेने पर लालन करने वाली होने के कारण मां स्थान महत्वपूर्ण है. लेकिन उत्तर आधुनिक समय और बदलते समाज और संस्कृति में पिता की भूमिका को भी समझा गया है. मां जहां पालती है वहीं पिता की भूमिका बालक के पोषण, संवर्धन और उसकी सभी आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति करते हुए उसे समाज में एक स्थान दिलाने की होती है.
क्यों मनाया जाता है फादर्स डे
दुनिया में फादर्स डे मनाने के पीछे कई वजहें हैं और लोग अपने हिसाब से सभी घटनाओं से जोड़ते रहे हैं. आम धारणा के मुताबिक वास्तव में फादर्स डे सबसे पहले पश्चिम वर्जीनिया के फेयरमोंट में 5 जुलाई 1908 को मनाया गया था. 6 दिसम्बर 1907 को मोनोंगाह, पश्चिम वर्जीनिया में एक खान दुर्घटना में मारे गए 210 पिताओं के सम्मान में इस विशेष दिवस का आयोजन श्रीमती ग्रेस गोल्डन क्लेटन ने किया था. यही वजह है कि प्रथम फादर्स डे चर्च आज भी सेन्ट्रल यूनाइटेड मेथोडिस्ट चर्च के नाम से फेयरमोंट में मौजूद है. हालांकि दुनिया में फादर्स डे की शुरुआत 19 जून 1910 को अमेरिका की राजधानी वॉशिंगटन से होती है. जिसके मुताबिक बीते साल 2017 में फादर्स-डे के 107 साल पूरे हो गए.
इस कहानी से मानी जाती है फादर्स डे की शुरुआत
लेकिन ऐसा माना जाता है कि पश्चिमी वर्जीनिया में फादर्स डे की कोई ऑफिशियल छुट्टी नहीं देने के कारण फादर्स डे की वास्तविक शुरुआत 19 जून 1910 से मानी जाती है. यहां फादर्स डे के पीछे एक रोचक कहानी सोनेरा डोड की है. सोनेरा डोड जब नन्ही सी थी, तभी उनकी मां का देहांत हो गया. मां के नहीं रहने पर पिता विलियम स्मार्ट ने सोनेरा को बहुत ही प्यार से पाला और उसे कभी मां की कमी नहीं महसूस होने दी. यानी की सोनरा को पिता से मां का प्यार भी मिला.

एक दिन यूं ही सोनेरा के दिल में मदर्स डे की तरह की फादर्स डे मनाने का ख्याल आया. उसका सोचना था कि जब मां के नाम पर दिन हो सकता है तो पिता को एक दिन समर्पित क्यों नहीं किया जा सकता. इस तरह 19 जून 1910 को पहली बार फादर्स डे मनाया गया. इधर 1924 में अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति कैल्विन कोली ने फादर्स डे पर अपनी सहमति दी. फिर 1966 में राष्ट्रपति लिंडन जानसन ने जून के तीसरे रविवार को फादर्स डे मनाने की आधिकारिक घोषणा की. 1972 में अमेरिका में फादर्स डे पर स्थायी ऑफिशियल हॉलि डे घोषित हुआ.

चूंकि दुनिया की हर संस्कृति में मां और पिता के प्रति विशेष आदर, प्रेम और सत्कार का भाव है. ऐसे में विश्व के अलग -अलग सामाजिक परिवेश और संस्कृति ने मदर्स डे और फादर्स डे को अपने हिसाब से मनाया है. भारतीय संस्कृति में फादर्स डे पर आप सुबह उठकर अपने पिता के पैर छूकर उनसे आशीर्वाद ले सकते हैं. पिता दुनिया की हर चीज आपको देते रहे हैं ऐसे में आप चाहें तो उन्हें छोटा सा गिफ्ट भी दे सकते हैं.
आमतौर भारतीय परिवारों में पिता के साथ बच्चों का संवाद एक उम्र विशेष तक ही रहता है, ऐसे में कोशिश करें कि अपने पिता से बातें करें, उनके अनुभवों से सीखें और उनसे अपने भविष्य की सभी योजनाएं साझा करें. उनका सम्मान करना, उनकी बातों को स्वीकार करना और कहना मानना ही उनके लिए इस फादर्स डे पर आपकी ओर से गिफ्ट हो सकता है. लेकिन इस फादर्स डे पर उनकी चिंताओं, दुखों और समस्याओं को भी उनसे पूछ सकते हैं.
यकीन मानिए उन्हें अच्छा लगेगा, लेकिन इस बात को भी समझ लेना कि पिता कभी भी अपनी समस्याएं बताएंगे नहीं मुस्कुरा देंगे और सबकुछ वैसे ही छिपा लेंगे जैसे दुनिया के हर पिता करते हैं;
